Abby Chamberlain

UKCC Level 3 Coaching qualification

Head of Performance

Abby has been the Head Coach at Wyre Netball Club since 2012, but her journey began much earlier—she first joined the club as a junior player at just 7 years old. Her lifelong dedication to the sport and the club has shaped Wyre into the high-performing, inclusive environment it is today.

Abby holds a UKCC Level 3 Coaching qualification, making her one of the few elite-level coaches in the North West. Her expertise and leadership extend beyond Wyre:

Lead Coach for Lancashire County Netball
Coach for Manchester Thunder Youth Academy
Head Coach at Lancaster University, where she also works in Sport Development

Abby’s passion for nurturing talent and building pathways for young players is at the heart of Wyre’s success. Her commitment to excellence continues to inspire players and coaches across the region.

Michelle Harrison

UKCC Level 2 Coaching qualification

Head of Primary

Michelle has been part of Wyre Netball Club for over 14 years, beginning her coaching journey at just 16 years old. She now leads our Primary Age Programme, bringing energy, experience, and a deep understanding of how to nurture young talent.

Her own netball journey began at age 12, after attending a Wyre Netball Holiday club—and she’s never looked back. Michelle continues to play for Wyre’s senior team, showing her passion for the sport both on and off the court.

Outside of netball, Michelle is a primary school teacher, with experience across all Key Stages bringing her expertise into her coaching to create fun, engaging sessions for our youngest players.
